Near the Sonnenrastbahn station, in the middle of the ski area you can find the ALPENIGLU® village Kitzbühel. On about 2000 square metres there are art- styled igloo buildings and impressive ice sculptures. Mystical light effects give the village a dreamy appearance.
The huge buildings impress and the number of free standing igloos create an own world of adventures. A further attraction is the ICE LAND exhibition: clear visions get into fantastic shapes, escorted by modern light and sound effects.
The highlight of this exhibition is the ice bar next to the church: a wide igloo building complex with bar, lounge and igloo restaurant. Eskimo feeling is guaranteed during a drink at the bar- if desired it can be drunken in a glass made of real ice.
The ALPENIGLU® village is always in action: thanks to its location directly in the ski area, it is a great meeting point for skiers: they meet at the snow bar, visit the ICE LAND exhibition, relax at the igloo lounge or book and join the changing program offers:
Active programs for children, snow shoe rent, snow shoe safari, shamanic baptism, torch hike, fondue dinner (with advanced booking). Furthermore there are several events: live music, BBQ, igloo festivals and many special competition games for entertaining people. Not to forget Manfred and Georg, the two reindeers who found here a nice home and can be booked for a ride in a reindeer sledge.
